Welcome to the new Fantasy / Steampunk Style TTRPG Galanthia Unrest. This is a game I have been working on for over 2 years now, and it's coming close to completion. The story and law are finished, and now the artwork and game mechanics are well underway. When the game is released, this website will be where you can learn more about how to play the game as well as download character sheets, enemy stats, GM screen sheets, and much more.

Waylondra
To the far North West, over Dankar's Peak, you will find the city of Waylondra. Waylondra is a walled-off city tucked away between two mountains. Inside, you will find a large number of people from all kinds of backgrounds. There are many places to rest, to purchase supplies, meet new people, and pick up a quest or two. The main things you will see are the castle of Organa Flynn in the centre of the city, a large arena and a beautiful waterfall crashing down the mountain.
Vorrel
In the Far North, you will find Vorrel. Vorrel is a town built around magic and alchemy, at first gaze you will see a large castle. When you enter the castle grounds, you will be greeted by a market of sorts with all kinds of different vendors trying to sell you potions and magical items. Within the castle, you will find magic users and potion makers with great expertise, along with the council of magic, who hold strict rules for magic use. Should you venture outside the castle walls, you may also come across some Alchemists who work a little differently from the normal way of doing things.
Brackenfell
Just outside the tree line of the Grand Forest you will find Brackenfell, Brackenfell is a town of worship, it is almost cult like, the people there all look to the Ancient Unicorn as if it was a god, most people believe it only to be a story, something to tell the children in dark times, but others much like the people of Brackenfell believe it to be more, they believe that the Ancient Unicorn will show itself in times of deep despair. Even though there have been no sightings of such a creature for 248 years, they still dedicate themselves to the belief by throwing festivals, praying, and there are some that are higher up that also, on occasion, give offerings.
Brookstone
Travel to the Southeast, and you will come across Brookstone. Brookstone is a town of merchants; people from all over Galanthia travel here to sell or purchase items of all kinds. Potions, weapons, artefacts, and so much more can be found here. It is important to remember that in Brookstone especially, everything has a price, but you must decide if it is a price worth paying.
Crescentia
Crescentia is a town tucked away in the North East, and it holds not one purpose but two. You will see two large buildings, one is the University of Knowledge, where people study the history of Galanthia, all that has ever been can be found in their library, students also study the art of alchemy, the flow of nature and the cultures of different beings. In the second building, you will find a large factory that creates potions for the people of Dankar in large quantities. Crescentia is a large town, but it is lacking in residents due to the large amount of space that the factory takes up; the people that can be found there either travel from far and wide or stay within the university.
Thornkeep
Within the Grand Forest, you may find a small village known as Thornkeep. There is not much there other than a few homes and beat-up old buildings. Almost all the residents are those who have ventured into the forest and gotten lost; some of them are travellers or adventurers, others are criminals and bandits who tried to use the forest to flee. It is not the safest location to rest, but there is plenty that can be done there.
Valleyfen
Just outside the south side of the Grand Forest, you will come across a farming village called Valleyfen. There are more livestock than there are people, different kinds of animals and crops are handled in Valleyfen. There are also barns and stables, places to replenish supplies, and maybe even the possibility of getting an animal for yourself.
Minora
Should you travel south from Dankar's Peak, you may come across a cave entrance, deep inside the cave you will find Minora, a village hidden under the earth, its dark and cold down there which is just how the residents like it, in the walls if you are lucky you may come across some crystals or other rocks that could be worth a lot to the right person.
Nymoria
Look out to sea from the West side of Dankar, and you may see a small mass floating in the ocean. Should you travel there, you will come across the floating village of Nymoria, where you find mostly Sea Folk; they are the best fishermen in all of Galanthia, and there is nowhere you will find fish that are as fresh and tasty as those in Nymoria. That being said, it is not all fun and games; the ocean can be a dangerous place.
Duskwood
In the centre of the Grand Forest by a large, beautiful lake, is the village of Duskwood. There is not much in the village, no people, but there is a place for you to rest and recover, there is even food, but how?
Sacora
Far to the East of Dankar, you will find a land covered in a thick mist. Should you enter the mist, you will find a town almost completely abandoned. A haunting feeling fills the air. Is this just a natural event, or is there something more, something deeper, that is for the party to discover for themselves?
Eternal Whirlpool
Out to sea in the South West of Galanthia, you will find the Ocean is almost alive, a massive whirlpool has been endlessly turning for hundreds of years. Most people don't know the true reason for this, but many have their theories. One thing that everyone agrees on is that going near it is almost a guaranteed death sentence.
3000 Year Storm
Almost all of the South West portion of Dankar has been taken over by a storm that has raged on for over 200 years; everyone calls it the 3000-year storm, but in truth, they just call it that because it sounds better. This storm has lingered on due to the Eternal Whirlpool affecting the atmosphere around it. Now, simply entering the storm is not that dangerous; it is what the storm has done to the lands below that needs to be feared. It has caused some of the land to become pure ice; the Frosted Lands have no water, no possible place to grow crops, and no way to stay warm. Another area has just become a Swamp due to constant rainfall; it is no easy task to travel here without sinking through the very ground. The storm has also caused the land to become so hot that it is now nothing more than ash. The Ashen Field is almost sad to view; it once held homes and farms. The final thing that has happened due to this storm is a small section of land where the Frosted Lands, Mass Swamp and Ashen Field meet, a beautiful patch of pink petals that are always forming from one single but magnificent Cherry Blossom Tree.
Grand Forest
The Grand Forest covers a large portion of Dankar. From the outside, it may look like just any normal forest, but the moment you enter, you are shifted to another realm. The inside of the forest does not follow the same rules of nature as the rest of Galanthia. Inside, you may find yourself shifted to another place, and strange and unexplainable things happen within. It's not always bad or dangerous things that happen, but it is always a risk when you enter.
Unicorn Alter
Stories of a creature that would show itself in times of hardship have spread across Galanthia for hundreds of years. There have been no sightings in over two hundred years, and the only thing that can be used as proof that such a creature is even real is the Unicorn Alter. The Alter is hidden within trees and mountains to the North East of Dankar, it shows a large Unicorn atop a rock. There is no record of who built it, and when, but due to how protected it is by both the University of Crescentia and also powerful magic, it's hard to know if the truth will ever really be revealed.
Sorbre Ana
To the far West of Dankar you may come across a lone tree, this tree is incredibly large and a true wonder to behold, the grounds leading up to it are covered in Lily and if the legends are true, the sap within the tree how powers that if consumed will increase your wisdom and much more, if you are thinking that it can not be as easy as just approaching the tree, then you would be correct.
Kodatona
To the West of Eldrin, you will come to a city of metal. This is the home of Gundrun Saito, the person who created the Meta world that half of Galanthia has come to know. Here you will find places to rest, many blacksmiths, and people of different races, most of whom have taken on the Meta-Evolution themselves. The thing that stands out most in Kodatona is the incredibly large factory that fills most of the city. This is a place that stands out from the rest of Galanthia. There is much you can do here.
Quelmar
Quelmar is a town of sorts that holds the worst kind of people; it is a place for bandits, thugs, criminals and lowlifes to go and lay low. Some of the people there are just people who have nowhere else to go. Quelmar is also the home of Astoff Iron-claw, a dangerous, bloodthirsty criminal.
Katrina
To the Northern point of Eldrin within the forest, you will find a village in the trees that holds Elves and only Elves. If you are an Elf, you will find it most welcoming, but if you are not, then it is not a safe place for you to be. Katrina does not take kindly to people who are not their own wandering in. If you go there, you'd better have a good reason.
Gobar
To the East, you will find a gigantic tent, within the tent, there is a circus-like village, and many strange and unusual folk live here. There is entertainment, strange shops, and maybe even the chance to perform and act yourself.
Myrus
Myrus was once a village full of life, children would run around and play, folks were happy, it was mostly a fishing village, until a horrific attack left the village in ruin. Now, all that remains are the ruins of old houses. a pile of earth that has grown over the residences that were left there. The only thing that lives in Myrus is a large oak tree that some say was put there by an adventurer to bring life back to this once great village.
Crystal Cave
Just a short way South of Kodatona, there is a cave like no other. Within this cave, the walls are covered in beautiful crystals of all colours. It is said that the crystal has magical properties, each colour doing something different.
Mystic Cove
If you were to follow the river known as Eldrin's Tear down South all the way to the waterfall that falls into the Sand pit, and then look behind the waterfall, you will find Mystic Cove. It is not very large, but if you were to make your way inside, you would come across someone who may have some interesting quests for you.
Mimic Maze
Mimic Maze is a type of trial for adventures, should you be brave enough to enter you will be faced with many challenges, you will never know if something you are looking at is real or a monster ready to attack, there is a grand prize of anyone who beats the trail but you must ask yourself if you are ready to face it, nothing is what it seems when you enter.
The Forge
The South East of Eldrin is not a place that many people can go, it has a ranging volcano that seem to always be active, people have given it the name The Forge due to rumours of someone going there to craft items that can not be crafted at a typical blacksmith, however, these are just rumours.
The Sand Pit
The Sand pit is a large patch of nothing, just sand as far as the eye can see. If you find yourself there, it can be hard to leave, as the only two options are to climb the cliff back up or to swim in the ocean. It's important to note that you may not be alone.
Galanthia consists of two islands: Dankar, the northern island, is a place of nature, magic and tradition. Eldrin is the southern island, a place of metal and evolution. The two islands have been locked in a civil war for over 100 years. Galanthia is a true blend of fantasy and steampunk.
There are two sides to every story, and it is down to the players to decide who they wish to side with: Organa Flynn and Dankar or Gundrun Saito and Eldrin. No matter the choice, there will be plenty to do, quests to complete, people to save or torment, there is no end to the adventures to be had.
This whole thing began when I started to write a one-shot for some friends; the story in my head just kept growing way beyond the scope of a single game. My wife and I got a canvas and tipped rice over it to make the shape of what is now the Galanthia Islands. We then rolled many dice over the map to see whereabouts locations would be. Since then, everything has grown and developed around new ideas until it became its own game. I am now at the point where things like illustrations and play testing are needed, so with the help of artists being commissioned for illustrations and different groups of people testing out the rules and lands, things are well on their way. This project means everything to me, so I want it to be done right. It is also an AI-free project; everything that is going into this book is either from other paid professionals or me.
And finally, this website is not the final virson, when the kickstarter has completed, it will shift into a much more in-depth look at Galanthia Unrest. For now, it is just to show what is currently happening. Thank you so much for taking the time to check it out.
